As Personal Trainers, we tend to focus on building a complete athlete by implementing an array of training techniques for each of our clients. By providing the option to run, lift, or engage in plyometric training (just to name a few) we keep our clients guessing, as well as making strides toward total progress. Multiple training options are not available from most trainers, but we strive to provide our clients with the ability to choose from a wide variety of fitness goals and strategies.

JENNIFER
ALVAREZ

Designed over a lifetime of experience as an artist and motivated by her passion for dancing, teaching, physical training, performance and philanthropy, Jennifer Alvarez also known as J-Hoop has established herself as one of the leading Hoop Dancers in the country. In Philadelphia her transformative cardio hoop sculpting classes were recently recognized by Philadelphia Magazine's "Best of Philly 2008" for “Most Fun Group Fitness Workout”.
As a proud resident of Philadelphia since 2001, Alvarez has become one of Philadelphia's finest philanthropic fitness instructors and visual performers who is dedicated to sharing her transformative aspects of hooping with the city in countless ways. Her credits include director and choreographer for The Creative Kids Club’s hoop dance troupe “Hooptoxic” and working with the Community Health and Education Outreach programs. Jennifer, featured in Prime Time News, has performed at the largest nightclubs and events in New York, Atlantic City, Miami, and Philadelphia.

Group and Private Instruction Available
Sessions include:
health and fitness evaluation and assessment, goal setting, diet and nutritional counseling, weight training, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility training, core strengthening, hoop dance, aspects of yoga, ballet, pilates, martial arts, and plyometrics.

BRIANNE BERUBE LAVINE

Brie graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Dance. She holds certifications as a personal trainer (AAAI-ISMA) and a yoga and Pilates instructor (ACE). Brie is also a board-certified massage therapist. In addition to being a trainer at Ironworks, she teaches classes at both locations including yoga, Pilates and abs.
Depending on her clients needs, Brie's style of training focuses on weight loss and/or overall toning and strength training. She offers nutritional advice and gives a new routine each time to maximize results. Both one-on-one and small group training are available. Brie has successfully worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels and she looks forward to working with you.

 

MICHAEL
MUNSON

Michael's diverse background as a professional chef and 25 years in the fitness, nutrition and wellness fields allows him to create successful weight loss and strength training programs for individuals and small groups. As the former head fitness trainer for the University of Pennsylvania, Michael has trained athletes, students as well as seniors and those with chronic illnesses. His holistic approach is fun, challenging and guaranteed to produce results!
Whether you're interests are kettlebells, functional or sport specific training, weight loss or simple toning, Michael can tailor a program to meet your needs!

 

 

JAY PEPITO

Jay Pepito is a certified Personal Trainer (AAAI-ISMA) who also holds a Weight Training and Strength Conditioning certification. He is an experienced martial artist and boxer, and is also an endurance athlete, who recently finished in the top 20% of the Philadelphia Marathon and will be one of the inaugural competitors in this year's first annual Philadelphia Triathlon.
Jay utilizes a multi-faceted approach to fitness to tackle his client's workouts, and has a talent for innovative and challenging workouts as well as a passion for building a strong and mutually rewarding client/trainer relationship. Jay will also be a certified Crossfit trainer and Kettlebell Instructor by Summer 2010, and is a candidate for the ACE Personal Trainer certification. Whether your goal is to improve your mile time, up your pull-up max, learn to box, have six-pack abs, or just to get a rewarding and effective workout, Jay's commitment to fitness and to helping each and every single one of his client's achieve their goals makes him the ideal trainer for you, no matter your level of fitness!

conditioning association and national acadamy of sports medicine. Over 6 years experience as a personal trainer and 15 years experience as a powerrlifter. My programs are based upon my practical experience as a fitness proffessional and athlete and my educational experiences in the field of human movement.
